HomeMy Public PortalAboutORD-CC-2010-20ORDINANCE #2010-20 AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE CITY OF MOAB OFFICIAL ZONE MAP WHEREAS, the Moab City Planning Commission and the Governing Body of the City of Moab desire to allow zone amendments to provide for orderly growth and promote the health, safety, morals, convenience, order, prosperity, and general welfare of the present and future inhabitants of the City; and WHEREAS, Ms. Sandra Bastian, 976 West 400 North, Moab, Utah, 84532 as the "Owner" of record of a 1.96-acre tract of land located at the above location, has applied to rezone a portion of this property from 1-1 Industrial to R-4 Residential; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission of the City of Moab held a public hearing on August 12, 2010, concerning the amendment of the City of Moab Official Zone Map to reflect a zoning change on the Sandy Bastian property from 1-1 to R-4; and WHEREAS, having considered public comment, Staff recommendations, and discussion of the pertinent aspects of the proposed development, the Moab Planning Commission with the adoption of Resolution No. 04-2010, favorably recommends the request to rezone to Council. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED by the City of Moab that effective upon the signing of this Ordinance, the City of Moab Official Zone Map with its amended zoning boundary lines and zone changes shall be declared to be an official record of the City and shall be included as part of Title 17 of the Moab Municipal Zoning Ordinances and shall reflect a zone change from 1-1 to R-4 for property located at 976 West 400 North. PASSED AND ADOPTED by action of the Governing Body of the City of Moab in open session this 24th day of August , 2010.
