Health and Human Services Committee
Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at 7:00 PM
Present: George Pettengill, Jean Sears, Doris Franzago, Pat Mageean, Liz Jayes and Deborah
Blackman Jacobs. Vivian Cafarella, an observer and possible new member of the committee
was present.
The meeting was called to order at 7:10 PM by chairman, George Pettengill. The minutes of
the last meeting were accepted after corrections were made.
George passed out updated copies of "Requests for Contract Funding FY 2008-9"
A representative from Big Brothers Big Sisters of Cape Cod was scheduled for 7:15 but
arrived about 20 minutes late. Katherine Reilly, Program Director for the organization,
presented a very good overview of their aims, participants and needs . However the
committee needed more information, especially more about the local budget. She will bring
more information to our next meeting, Wednesday, December 1.2, 2007. She left about 8:30.
Vivian Cafarella expressed a desire to be a member of the committee. George will notify
Town Hall and she will be a welcome member.
The meeting was adjourned at 8:40 PM.
