SM was called by the Brewster police pepartment to respond to a potential health situation at
3s~~ Fain Street. Upon arrival SM found that there was no heat and no running water. The
inspection also revealed several violations of the State Sanitary Code which could endanger the
health ~ safety of any occupant. ~t this point, she called the Board of Health members to an
emergency meeting.
Emergency meeting was called to order by ~ J'Rseconded. 3 yes.
Motion: pB-immediate health hazard due to no heat or water. JTZseconded. 3 yes.
Lotion: pB-condemn the dwelling. It is uninhabitable due to no heat, no water and unsanitary
conditions. JRseconded. 3 yes.
Lotion: pB-dwelling is to remain uninhabitable until all violations have been corrected and
building, plumbing and health inspections deem the dwelling habitable. J'R,seconded. 3 yes.
Lotion: pB-notify the following of this decision ~4S~4p- Ed Lewis, Selectman's Liaison, police
peps, Fire peps, Cape Cod Hospital, Charles Sumner, Town ~4dministrator, y~Jater peps, Jean
Sears, pirector, Council on ~4ging, tenants, and Lynn,4rsenault, sister of occupant. JR.
