A RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING PUBLIC HEARINGS ON ZM #2000-05, POTOMAC CROSSING PRC
AND TOWN PLAN AMENDMENT TP 2000-02.
WHEREAS, on September 20, 2000, the Town accepted ZM 2000-05, Potomac Crossing PRC, Concept
Plan and Proffer Amendment; and
WHEREAS, on June 27, 2000, Town Council initiated Town Plan Amendment TP 2000-02 by Resolution
No. 2000-112; and
WHEREAS, on April 5, 2001, the Planning Commission held public hearings to consider these two
applications; and
WHEREAS, on May 22, 2001, the Town Council held a public hearing on the applications; and
WHEREAS, on July 9, 2001 the applicant requested that the Town Council withhold action until it could
address several of the Council's concerns; and
WHEREAS, after Council's hearing, the applicant substantially changed its proffer statement, which
affects the proposed Concept Development Plan and impacts the rezoning.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Town Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
Staff is directed to advertise a public hearing before the Town Council for ZM 2000-05 Potomac Crossing
PRC, Concept Plan and Proffer Amendment and Town Plan Amendment TP 2000-02 for October 23, 2001.
