HomeMy Public PortalAbout2001_10_10_r167The Town of Leesburg, lrglnla PRESENTED October 10, 2001 RESOLUTION NO. 2001-167 ADOPTED October 10, 2001 ARESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING A TIME EXTENSION FOR COMPLETION OF PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS AND APPROVING A PERFORMANCE GUARANTEE FOR POTOMAC STATION SECTION IA WHEREAS, WL Homes, LLC, the developer of Potomac Station Section lA, has not completed all the required public improvements in accordance with the approved construction drawings and town standards within the two-year period agreed to in the contract for public improvements and previously approved time extensions; and WHEREAS, the developer has requested a time extension to complete the public improvements; and WHEREAS, the subdivision is in Loudoun County and the town's bonded improvements are water and sanitary sewer only; and WHEREAS, a cOrporate surety bond from the Seaboard Surety Company in the amount of $48,440.46 was provided by the developer to guarantee the installation of public improvements in Potomac Station Section iA; and WHEREAS, the town's Director of Engineering and Public Works recommends a time extension to April 4, 2002 for completion of the public improvements. THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows: SECTION I. The corporate surety bond from the Seaboard Surety Company in the amount of $48,440.46 is approved to guarantee the installation of public improvements in Potomac Station Section iA. A RESOLUTION: -2- AUTHORIZING A TIME EXTENSION FOR COMPLETION OF PUBLIC IMPROVEMENTS AND APPROVING A PERFORMANCE GUARANTEE FOR POTOMAC STATION SECTION lA SECTION II. A time extension to April 4, 2002 for completion of the public improvements in Potomac Station Section lA is approved. PASSED this l0th day of October 2001.
