AUTHORIZING AGREEMENTS AND APPROVING
PERFORMANCE GUARANTEES AND WATER AND SEWER
EXTENSION PERMITS FOR POTOMAC CROSSING SECTION 8
AND POTOMAC CROSSING BATTLEFIELD PARKWAY
FRONTAGE IMPROVEMENTS FOR SECTION 8
WHEREAS, Arcadia Building Company, the developer of Potomac Crossing Section 8
and Potomac Crossing Battlefield Parkway Frontage Improvements for Section 8 has requested
the approval of corporate surety bonds from The Lumbermens Mutual Insurance Company in the
amount of $1,158,018.94 for Section 8; and $165,481.91 for Battlefield Parkway Frontage
Improvements for Section 8 to guarantee the public improvements; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Engineering and Public Works recommends approval of
contracts for installation of public improvements and acceptance of performance guarantees for
Potomac Crossing Section 8 and Potomac Crossing Battlefield Parkway Frontage Improvements
for Section 8.
RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
SECTION I. The town manager shall execute the contracts for public improvements for
the improvements shown on the plans approved by the Director of Engineering and Public
Works for Potomac Crossing Section
Improvements for Section 8.
8 and Potomac Crossihg Battlefield Parkway Frontage
SECTION II. The extension of municipal water and sewer for Potomac Crossing Section
8 and Potomac Crossing Battlefield Parkway Frontage Improvements. for Section 8 are approved
in accordance with Section 15-9 and 19-18 of the Town Code.

SECTION III. The corporate surety bonds in a form appro, ved by the town attorney from
The Lumbermens Mutual Insurance Company in the amounts of $1,158,018.94 and $165,481.91
are approved as security to guarantee installation of the public improvements shown on plans
approved by the Director of Engineering and Public Works for Potomac Crossing Section 8 and
Potomac Crossing Battlefield Parkway Frontage Improvements for Section 8.
