AUTHORIZING TIME EXTENSIONS
IMPROVEMENTS AND APPROVING
PRESENTED October 23, 2001

FOR COMPLETION OF PUBLIC
PERFORMANCE GUARANTEES
FOR NORTHLAKE SECTIONS 2 AND 5
WHEREAS, Brookfield Washington, Inc. (formerly Coscan Washington, Inc.), the developer
of Northlake Sections 2 and 5 has not completed all the required public improvements in accordance
with the approved construction drawings and town standards within the two-year period agreed to in
the contract for public improvements; and
WHEREAS, the developer has requested a time extension to complete the public
improvements; and
WHEREAS, this subdivision is in Loudoun County and the town's bonded improvements are
water and sanitary sewer only; and
WHEREAS, corporate surety bonds in the amount-of $26,707.12 for Section 2; and
$14,594.29 for Section 5, from The American Home Assurance Company were provided by the
developer to guarantee the installation of public improvements; and
WHEREAS, the town's Director of Engineering and Public Works recommends a time
extension to October 14, 2002 for Northlake Sections 2 and 5; and
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
SECTION I. The corporate surety bonds from The American Home Assurance Company in
the amounts $26,707.12 and $14,594129 are approved to guarantee the installation of public
improvements in Northlake Sections 2 and 5.

SECTION II. The time extensions to October 14, 2002 for Northlake Sections 2 and 5 for
completion of the public improvements are approved.
