NI told the Board that per Ed Lewis, Town Counsel says that this proposed regulation won't stop someone currently doing it, it would gust stop any expansion or the start up of a new business. Residential septic systems are exempt. Paul Daniels spoKe about his concerns with this proposed regulation. Steve paniels asKed about bringing in soil from other towns and stocKpiling it here, would that be restricted so that it couldn't be removed? pl-wording on that may need to be changed. (pefinition section) Bill Hoffman thinKS that this may constitute re-zoning. More discussion tooK place. Board will worK on this Regulation and have another public hearing 7:1o Variance request for 7o pine View prive Michael Hand, Stella Sullivan, owners. NI explained that this is a Real Estate Transfer and it didn't pass the inspection because the leaching area is closer than 300 feet from a pond or IaKe. The owners want to Keep the existing septic system where it is. NI stated that she believes that there is no other place to put it. Motion: ~4P-grant variance request. JH seconded. 4 Yes. 7:30 Tony ~4mundson-Quail Acres-non-compliance with Beach Testing Regulation No one showed up. He can apply to the state for a variance. Motion: ,7Tt;send letter to Mr. ~4mundson asKing him to forward it to the proper person and let him Know that he can request a variance from testing. He will speaK with Sherrie and come bacK next month. 8:1o Moran Engineering-variance request for s9 Main Street Dan Croteau presented this variance request. This is a voluntary upgrade. He is asKing for the following variances: 1. 5' variance from S~4S and property line 2. hold 10' ~ 13' from $•4S to crawl space 3. 2595 reduction in S~4S area 4. hold 52' ~ 60' from S•4S to wetland 5. 3' variance from pump chamber to crawl space 6. 3' variance from S•4S and water line Motion: ~4P-accept plan as a 5 bedroom system with retail as is. Chris UJeeKS and 'pastor Rebecca were present. They stated that they have found a spot for 3 bay sinK and hand washing sinK. NI stated that they still need to do a formal review with SM. There are 2 CFM• Motion: JH-based on SM formal approve, grant approval for permit. Septic system is good for 3 bedrooms; with addition it will maKe it ~ bedrooms.
