A RESOLUTION:

PAY AND CLASSIFICATION PLAN TO
AMENDING THE FY02
INCORPORATE THE POLICE CAREER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Police Department has identified a need for the revision of the Police
Department component of the FY02 Pay and Classification Plan; and
WHEREAS, the revision will include the reclassification of the police officer and police
corporal positions to Police Officer I, II, m and Master Police Officer; and
WHEREAS, the revisions were approved in the FY02 budget and do not require
additional appropriation of funds.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as
follows:
The FY02 Pay and Classification Plan for the Police Department is amended as follows:
Current Title
Police Officer
(New grade for police)
Corporal
New Title / Grade
Police Officer I / Police Officer II / 9
Police Officer 111 / 10
Master Police Officer / 11
