RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING EXPEDITIOUS PROCESSING OF A
BOUNDARY LINE ADJUSTMENT TO BRING SCHOOL SITES ON A
PORTION OF THE O'CONNOR PROPERTY INTO THE TOWN OF
LEESBURG
WHEREAS, Section 15.2-3106 et seq. of the Code of Virginia authorizes Virginia counties and
towns to change the boundary lines between them by agreement in accordance with specified statutory
procedures; and
WHEREAS, staff of the Loudoun County School Board has requested the Town to expeditiously
process a boundary line adjustment to bring into the Town school sites on the O'Connor property
bounded by a triangle with Route 15 Business on one side, Route 15 Bypass on the second side and the
Town boundary on the third side.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
SECTION I. The Town shall expeditiously process a boundary line adjustment to bring the
subject school sites into the Town.
SECTION II. The Board of Supervisors is requested to join the Town in expeditiously processing
such a boundary line adjustment.
SECTION HI. The town attorney and appropriate staff are authorized to prepare and execute any
documents necessary to ensure the expeditious processing of such a boundary line adjustment.
