A RESOLUTION:
PRESENTED December 11, 2001
2001-215 ADOPTED December 11, 2001
EXTENDING THE 2001 HOLDAY SCHEDULE TO INCLUDE THE
ENTIRE DAY OF DECEMBER 24 AND OF DECEMBER 31
WHEREAS, Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve occur on a Monday in 2001; and
WHEREAS, Section 12 of the town Personnel Manual specifies a paid holiday beginning
in the afternoon of December 24 and beginning at 2 p.m. on December 31; and
WHEREAS, the County of Loudoun, Commonwealth of Virginia and federal agencies
have granted a paid holiday for these days; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council desires to grant additional holiday time off for employees.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
2001 Holiday Schedule is hereby extended to include the entire day of Monday, December 24
and of Monday, December 31.
FURTHER, that town offices shall be closed for business on those days.
