RESOLUTION REQUESTING RELOCATION OF BUS STOP
WHEREAS, there currently exists a Northbound New Jersey Transit Bus Stop at
the intersection at the comer of Pershing and Cooke Avenues; and
WHEREAS, the Borough of C'arteret (the "Borough") is restoring this location
as the "Town Center", it believes it is in the best interest of the community to
relocate the bus stop about 75 feet north on Pershing Avenue adjacent to Civic
Center Park.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Mayor and Council of the
Borough of Carteret that this resolution be forwarded to New Jersey Transit as a
request that the Northbound Bus Stop, currently located on the comer of Pershing
and Cooke Avenues, be relocated about 75 feet north on Pershing Avenue
adjacent to Civic Center Park.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Mayor and Municipal Clerk be and are
hereby authorized to execute such documents on behalf of the Borough, as
necessary to accomplish the relocation.
