Steve Elliott, Council member Jane Shaw, Council member Dan Gubler, Treasurer Ron
Nelson, Public Works Supervisor Zech Prouse, Police Chief Shannon Basaraba, City
Clerk Robyn Keyes, City Attorney Dale Storer
VISITORS: Dana Andersen, Linda McArthur, Helen Elliott, Jay Shaw, Diana Nelson,
Carli Prouse, Shawna Basaraba, Joel Keyes, Sharon Storer
Council Reports. Mayor Andersen thanked everyone for coming and handed out Council
assignments for 2009. Assignments are as follows:
Mayor Andersen; general administration and public safety, AIC environmental/legislative
committee's, budget/finance, BPMO. Special event; Oversee Iona Day's & Christmas
party.
Council member Gubler; public safety, civil defense, emergency preparedness,
recreation, water. Special event; Iona Day's, Spring Clean-up day.
Council member Shaw; library committee, streets, senior center. Special event; Iona
Day's —food/servers for Friday.
Council member Elliott; historical/monument committee -pictures 7/24, parks. Special
event; Iona Day's —Friday entertainment.
Council president McArthur; tree committee, Lion's club, water. Special event; Iona
Day's- Saturday activities.
City Clerk Keyes; tree committee (chair), book of ordinances, variances & Conditional
use permits, building events coordinator. Special event; Easter egg hunt coordinator.
Public Works Supervisor Prouse; public works (water, street, etc...) parks and recreation.
Treasurer Nelson; budget and finance, quarterly report. Special event; Easter egg hunt.
Mayor Andersen read a Christmas story about the gift of giving and thanked those that
have given to others in one way or another and encouraged everyone to be thankful for
what they have.
