RE: Extension of Agreement for Collection, Transportation and Disposal of Solid
Waste for the Residential Areas of Key Biscayne, Florida
Dear Mr. Gilbert:
Progressive Waste Solutions of FL, Inc. ("Progressive") would like to thank the Village of Key
Biscayne ("Village") for the opportunity afforded to us to discuss the renewal of the current
Agreement for Collection, Transportation and Disposal of Solid Waste for the Residential Areas
of Key Biscayne, Florida ("Agreement") expiring on March 31, 2015. After several discussions,
it is my understanding that the Village desires to avail itself of the competitive procurement
process through the issuance of a Request for Proposals ("RFP"). Progressive in an attempt to
ensure the Village's staff has sufficient time to plan and proceed with an RFP agrees to continue
to perform services pursuant to the same terms and conditions in the Village's existing contract
and on the financial terms existing as of today until September 30, 2015.
Once this letter agreement has been approved and signed by the Village Manager, please forward
me a copy for our records.
Progressive remains committed to continuing our relationship as a good community partner
throughout the reminder of the contract by delivering the type of quality service that not only
meets the needs of the Village and its residents, but exceeds what has come to be expected from
us.
