ARESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING TIME EXTENSIONS FOR COMPLETION OF PUBLIC
IMPROVEMENTS AND APPROVING PERFORMANCE GUARANTEES FOR
TAVISTOCK FARMS SECTIONS 9, 10, 11&12, 13,19,20&21, 14 AND 18
WHEREAS, Arcadia Building Company, the developer of Tavistock Farms Sections 9, 10,
1 l&12, 13,19,20&21, 14 and 18, has not completed all the required public improvements in accordance
with the approved construction drawings and town standards within the two-year period agreed to in the
contract for public improvements and previously approved time extensions; and
WHEREAS, the developer has requested a time extension to complete the public improvements;
and
WHEREAS, corporate surety bonds in the following amounts have been provided by the
developer to guarantee the installation of public improvements in Tavistock Farms Sections 9, 10, 1 l&12,
13,19,20&21, 14 and 18:
Section 9 - $ 38,580.00
Section 10- $ 72,540,30
Section 1 l&12 - $144,964.00
Section 13,19,20&21 - $205,041.00
Section 14- $ 99,806.00
Section 18- $282,414.00
; and'
WHEREAS, the town' s Director of Engineering and Public Works recommends a time extension
to April 23, 2003 for Sections 9, 14 and 18; and October 23, 2002 for Sections 10, ll&12, and Section
13,19,20&21 for completion of the public improvements.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
SECTION I. The corporate surety bonds in the amounts listed above are approved to guarantee
the installation of public improvements in Tavistock Farms Sections 9, 10, 1 l&12, 13,19,20&21, 14 and
18.

approved.
