A RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING AN AGREEMENTS AND APPROVING PERFORMANCE
GUARANTEES AND WATER AND SEWER EXTENSION PERMITS FOR
EDWARDS LANDING PHASE 2B AND PHASE 4
WHEREAS, Edwards Landing L.L.C., the developer of Edwards Landing Phase 2B and Phase 4,
has requested approval of corporate surety bonds from The Continental Insurance Company in the
amount of $1,282,134.00 for Phase 2B and $670,143.00 for Phase 4 to guarantee the public
improvements; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Engineering and Public Works recommends approval of a contract
for installation of public improvements and acceptance of a performance guarantee for Edwards Landing
Phase 2B and Phase 4.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
SECTION I. The manager shall execute the contracts for public improvements for the
improvements shown on the plans approved by the Director of Engineering and Public Works for
Edwards Landing Phase 2B and Phase 4.
SECTION Il. The extension of municipal water and sewer for Edwards Landing Phase 2B and
Phase 4 is approved in accordance with Section 15-9 and i9-18 of the Town Code.
SECTION 1II. The corporate surety bonds in a form appro(,ed by the town attorney from The
Continental Insurance Company in the amounts of $1,282,134.00 and $670,143.00 are approved as
security to guarantee installation of the public improvements shown on plans approved by the Director of
Engineering and Public Works for Edwards Landing Phase 2B and Phase 4.
