TOWN OF BREWSTER MINUTES OF PLANNING BOARD
Work Session
Tuesday, September 18, 2007 4:00 P.M.
On Site visit to Independence Way
Chairman Henchy convened the Planning Board on site visit at 4:00 pm at the Independence Way
site with members Elizabeth Taylor, Amberlyn Tubman and John McMullen.
Present for the review: 3 Lot Owners: Joshua Walther, 43 Independence Way; Donald Connelly,
44 Independence Way; Casey Thomas, 24 Independence Way
The objective of the site visit was to discuss and review the landscape requirements still needed in
order for each lot owner to meet the agreed upon conditions outlined in their Special Permits.
1) Mr. Walther stated that he had planted 9 trees - Leylands and white pines. He also noted that
he rented a bay out to a plumber. The plumber stores materials on site. The materials stored are
necessary for his business. A brief discussion occurred and it was agreed that we need to figure
out how businesses can store materials and their trucks at the site. This area is zoned CH and this
should be allowed.
2) Mr. Connelly recognized that some additional landscaping needed to be added and done on his
property. Mr. Connelly agreed to the plan and stated he would submit this revised plan for the
Board.
3) Mr. Casey noted that he would need to add some landscaping between his property and the
adjoining lot but it was agreed that that would occur after the adjoining lot was developed.
Tubman motioned to adjourn. Second by Taylor.
