A RESOLUTION: AMENDING THE FISCAL YEAR 2021 GENERAL FUND
OPERATING BUDGET AND MAKING A SUPPLEMENTAL
APPROPRIATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $46,989.02 RECEIVED
FROM INSURANCE PAYMENTS FROM VIRGINIA RISK
SHARING ASSOCIATION(VRSA)FOR THE REPAIR OF TOWN
TRAFFIC SIGNAL EQUIPMENT
WHEREAS, the Town's Depai lnient of Public Works and Capital Projects maintains
and repairs Town traffic signal equipment; and
WHEREAS, On February 24, 2020 a privately owned dump truck, not working for the
Town, struck and damaged the traffic signal located at the northeastern corner of the Russell
Branch Parkway and Crosstrail Boulevard; and
WHEREAS, the Town has received insurance payments in the amount of$46,989.02
from Virginia Risk Sharing Association (VRSA) for the replacement and/or repair of the
damaged Town traffic signal equipment.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED, by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that
the General Fund operating budget is hereby amended and a supplemental appropriation is
made in the amount of$46,989.02 for the Department of Public Works and Capital Projects for
the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2020 and ending June 30, 2021.
