A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TEMPLE CITY AMENDING RESOLUTION
NO. 69 -906 OF THE CITY COUNCIL RELATING
TO REORGANIZATION OF THE YOUTH COMMISSION
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Temple City has
heretofore created a youth commission with membership powers
and duties as prescribed in Resolution No. 69 -906 of said
City Council; and
WHEREAS, said City Council has determined to accept the
recommendation of the present youth commission, to wit: that
the youth commission could function more effectively by a
reduction in the number of members of said commission.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF TEMPLE
CITY DOES RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION 1. The youth commission of the City of Temple City
is hereby reorganized to consist of five (5) voting members
appointed by the Mayor with the consent of the City Council,
and in addition thereto, ex- officio members may be appointed
as non - voting members; all members, with the exception of the
ex- officio members shall be between the ages of 14 and 20 years,
and may not be older than 19 years at the time of appointment.
SECTION 2. Of the voting members of the commission first
appointed hereunder, two (2) shall serve for a term of six (6)
months commencing January 1, 1971, and concluding June 30, 1971;
three (3) shall serve for a term of eighteen (18) months
commencing January 1, 1971, and concluding June 30, 1972.
The successors shall be appointed for terms of two (2) years.
If vacancies shall occur other than by expiration of term,
new members shall be appointed for the unexpired portion of
the term. The ex- officio members shall serve at the pleasure
of the Mayor and City Council.
SECTION 3. Nothing in this Resolution shall be deemed
to repeal, alter or amend any provision of Resolution No. 69 -906
not expressly in conflict herewith.
SECTION 4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of
this Resolution.

City of Temple City, at a regular meeting thereof, held on the
5th day of January, 1971.
