Town Meeting Preparation
The meeting with the Finance Committee resulted in them asking the School Committee
to hold off on asking for the $46,000 (for the two expenses -teacher and transportation
for a special ed student) at the fall Town Meeting. There was discussion about the fact
that the Selectmen had indicated they would like this on the Fall Warrant and it is too
bad the Selectmen and the Finance Committee didn't meet and come to an agreement
on which would be better. The Committee agreed that they do not want this to be a
battle on the floor of Town Meeting. /t was moved by Marie Enochty and seconded by
David Telman to table the request for $46,000 for special education costs until the
Spring Town Meeting. Voted unanimously.
