REQUESTING TRANSFER OF ROUTES IN THE SECONDARY SYSTEM OF
STATE HIGHWAYS FROM THE VIRGINIA DEPARTMENT OF HIGHWAYS
AND TRANSPORTATION TO THE TOWN
WHEREAS, on June 25, 2002, Council adopted Resolution No. 2002-109 approving a boundary line
adjustment to bring into the Town the land acquired by the School Board as the site for a middle school and an
elementary school; and
WHEREAS, the boundary line adjustment request was approved by Loudoun County and a joint
petition presented to the Loudoun County Circuit Court; and
WHEREAS, Judge Thomas Home approved the request on August 8, 2002; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Engineering and Public Works recommends a transfer of Route 837 to the
Town of Leesburg.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
SECTION I. The Virginia Department of Highways and Transportation is requested to transfer the
following route from the Secondary System of State Highways of Loudoun County to the Town of Leesburg in
Virginia:

SECTION Il. The town manager shall make all necessary reports
and requests to the Virginia
