A RESOLUTION: DENYING THE STREET NAME CHANGE FOR SYCOLIN ROAD
WHEREAS, the Standing Residential Traffic Task Force has recommended the renaming
of Sycolin Road as "Old Sycolin Road" between E. Market Street and the Tuscarora Creek and
the renaming of Sycolin Road from Rockbridge Drive up to the Route 15 Bypass as Plaza Street
in order to eliminate driver confusion.; and
WHEREAS, the Town Council conducted a public hearing on this matter on the 8th day of
October 2002.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as
follows:
The proposed street name change for Sycolin Road is denied.
Passed this 8th day of October 2002.
