AN ORDINANCE RELATING TO THE CITY BUILDING CODE;
AMENDING SECTION 2-1-8B OF THE VILLAGE CODE OF McCALL,
IDAHO, BY ELIMINATING SUB -SECTION (C) THEREOF CON-
CERNING RIGID METAL RACEWAYS AND RIGID NON-METALLIC
CONDUIT FOR ELECTRICAL WIRING AND DESIGNATING SUB-
SECTION (D) THEREOF AS SUB -SECTION (C).
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF McCALL, IDAHO, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That Section 2-1-8B of the Village Code
of McCall, Idaho, be, and the same is hereby amended to read
as follows:
2-1-8B: ADDITIONAL ELECTRICAL WIRING REQUIREMENTS:
The following additional electrical wiring requirements
shall apply within the corporate limits of the City:
(A) All electrical wiring in new buildings in Fire
Zone 2 shall be in metal raceways.
(B) All electrical wiring in places of public assembly
within the corporate limits of the City, including
but not limited to schools, churches, fraternal orders,
hospitals, rest homes, sanitariums, exhibition or
entertainment buildings., whether publicly or privately
owned or operated shall be in metal raceways.
{E} Metal raceways shall ineIude only rigid metal
conduit; electrical metallie tubing; surface metal
raeewaps er mineral insulated metal sheathed cable;
excepting that; when new services or feeders are installed
underground er incased in eenerete; rigid nen-metallic
eenduit may be used
{B} (C) Exception to the foregoing provisions.
Conductors operating at thirty (30) volts or less
may be installed by any method.
