ARESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING AWARD OF A CONTRACT IN THE AMOUNT OF
$152,000.00 TO NORAIR ENGINEERING CORPORATION FOR KENNETH B.
ROLLINS WATER FILTRATION PLANT, SLUDGE STORAGE TANK
MIXING PROJECT
WHEREAS, the FY 2002 mid-year budget includes $350,000.00 for a mechanical mixing system to
improve the sludge holding tank; and
WHEREAS, in response to a public solicitation for bids for construction of the project, the
following bids were received:
* McDaniel Piping Service, Inc. $152,396.00
* Norair Engineering Corp. $152,000.00
and;
WHEREAS, the bids were reviewed by staff and town's engineer and found to be responsive to the
bid request and within project estimates; and
WHEREAS, sufficient funds are available in the Utility Fund to fund this project; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Utilities recommends awarding a contract to Norair Engineering Corp.,
in the amount of $152,000.00 for this project.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
The town manager is hereby authorized to execute a contract with Norair Engineering Corp., in the
amount of $152,000.00 for this project.
