RESOLUTION NO. 2002-184 ADOPTED November 26, 2002
A RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING TIME EXTENSIONS FOR COMPLETION OF PUBLIC
IMPROVEMENTS AND APPROVING PERFORMANCE GUARANTEES
FOR POTOMAC STATION SECTIONS lB, lC, 3C, AND 6EFG
WHEREAS, m/I Schottenstein Homes, Inc., the developer of Potomac Station Sections lB,
lC, 3C, and 6EFG has not completed all the required public improvements in accordance with the
approved construction drawings and town standards within the two-year period agreed to in the
contract for public improvements and previously approved time extension; and
WHEREAS, the developer has requested a time extension to complete the public
improvements; and
WHEREAS, this subdivision is in Loudoun County and the town's bonded improvements are
water and sanitary sewer only; and
WHEREAS, corporate surety bonds from the Liberty Mutual Insurance Company in the
amount of $5,281.10 for Section lB; $3,621.64 for Section lC; and from the American Motorist
Insurance Company $10,224.94 for Section 3C; and $30,069.27 for Section 6EFG were provided by
the developer to guarantee the installation of public improvements; and
WHEREAS, the town's Director of Engineering and Public Works recom_mends a time
extension to November 22, 2003 for Potomac Station Sections lB, lC, and 6EFG; and September 16,
2003 for Section 3C.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:

IMPROVEMENTS AND APPROVING PERFORMANCE GUARANTEES
FOR POTOMAC STATION SECTIONS lB, lC, 3C, AND 6EFG
SECTION I. The corporate surety bonds from The Liberty Mutual Insurance Company and
the American Motorists Insurance Company in the amounts listed above are approved to guarantee
the installation of public improvements in Potomac Station Sections lB, lC, 3C, and 6EFG.
SECTION II. The time extensions to November 22, 2003 for Potomac Station Sections lB,
lC, and 6EFG; and September 16, 2003 for Potomac Station Section 3C for completion of the public
improvements are approved.
