HomeMy Public PortalAbout2002_11_26_r188 Task Order 22 for Engineering Svcs Agreement for Water Filtration Plant ExpansionThe Town of Leesburg, RESOLUTION NO A RESOLUTION: 2002.-188 PRESENTED November 26, 2002 ADOPTED November 26, 2002 AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO EXECUTE TASK ORDER #22 TO TIlE CH2M HILL GENERAL SERVICES AGREEMENT, IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,660,000.00, FOR DESIGN OF THE WATER POLLUTION CONTROL FACILITY EXPANSION PROJECT WHEREAS, an Engineering Concept Study on the town's Water Pollution Control Facility, completed in March 2002 by CH2M Hill engineers, outlined options for expansion of the facility to a capacity of 7.5 million gallons per day; and WHEREAS, a need for expansion of the facility is imminent based on currently approved development and flow projections within the existing corporate limits of the town; and WHEREAS, the Director of Utilities recommends approving Task Order #22 to the CH2M Hill General Services Agreement, in the amount of $1,660,000.00 for project design; and WHEREAS, sufficient funds are included in the adopted FY 2003 Utilities Fund Budget to fund the design of the project. THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows: The Council of the Town of Leesburg hereby authorizes the Town Manager to execute Task Order #22 to the CH2M Hill General Services Agreement, in the amount of $1,660,000.00, for preliminary and final engineering design services for expansion of the Water Pollution Control Facility to a capacity of 7.5 million gallons per day.
