Police Personnel Board
Minutes—December 8, 2016
The meeting was called to order at 12:08pm.
Seven persons attended as follows:

Following greetings, roll call was taken.
Approval of October 6, 2016 minutes
It was moved by Trowbridge and seconded by Turner that the minutes for the October 6, 2016 Board meeting be
approved. The motion was carried unanimously.
New Business
Election of Officers for 2017 Police Personnel Board Mr. Burton asked the current board members if they would be
willing to serve again for the 2017 year. Mr. Burton agreed to serve as Chair, Mr. Trowbridge as Vice-Chair, and Ms.
Turner as Secretary. A vote for the slate of officers will be taken at the next Board Meeting.
Police Officer and Communications Operator Hiring Update Lt. Stiefermann announced that currently we do not
have openings but due to the fact that it will be May, 2017 before we can send successful candidates to academy, it was
decided to schedule another testing process in January, 2017. He stated that the open application process for the next
testing will begin on January 2, 2017 and end January 15th, 2017.
Mr. Burton asked for volunteers for proctoring the testing which is scheduled as follows:
January 25th, 2017, 6:00pm. -- Communications Officer testing
January 27th, 2017, 1:00pm. – Police Officer testing
January 28th, 2017, 9:00am. – Police Officer testing
Board members volunteered to proctor for the testing which Mr. Burton made a schedule of.
Police Information Manager Update Lt. Stiefermann stated that the process for this position has progressed to oral
interviews which will be held December 14th – 16th, 2016. He also stated that out of the 50 candidates that applied, 29
were approved to move forward with interview process with 24 of these accepting the oral interview invitation at this
time. Lt. Stiefermann invited any of the Board members to sit in on these interviews if they are available and desire to
do so.
Next meeting date – It was discussed to wait until after the testing is complete to schedule the next Board Meeting. The
next meeting date is scheduled for February 2, 2017.
It was moved by Mr. Dickman and seconded by Ms. Dillon to adjourn. The meeting was adjourned at 12:28 pm.
