RESOLUTION NO. 2002-191 ADOPTED November 26, 2002
A RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING AN ENGINEERING SERVICES CONTRACT WITH
WH1TMAN, REQUARDT AND ASSOCIATES, L.L.P., IN THE AMOUNT OF
$224,000.00, FOR THE WOODLEA MANOR BOOSTER STATION PROJECT
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 2002-175, the Town Council modified the 1987 Water System
Master Plan to include creation of a mini-pressure zone in Woodlea Manor Subdivision; and
WHEREAS, the FY 2003 Utility Fund Budget includes funding of a water booster station for the
Woodlea Manor pressure zone; and
WHEREAS, Whitman, Requardt and Associates, L.L.P., was selected through the "competitive
negotiation" process, in compliance with the Virginia Public Procurement Act, for study and design of water
system improvements; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Utilities recommends award of an engineering services contract for
Whitman, Requardt and Associates, L.L.P., in the amount of $224,000.00 for design and construction
services related to the Woodlea Manor Water Booster Station project.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
The Council of the Town of Leesburg hereby authorizes the Town Manager to execute a contract
with Whitman, Requardt and Associates, L.L.P., in the amount of $224,000.00 for design and construction
engineering services related to the Woodlea Manor Water Booster Station project.
