ADOPTED December 10, 2002
AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN ENGINEERING
SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH CH2M HILL AND APPROVING TASKS #1
AND #2, IN THE AMOUNT OF $104,200.00, FOR THE WATER FILTRATION
PLANT EXPANSION PROJECT.
WHEREAS, a "Request for Proposal" was duly advertised and published pursuant to the Virginia
Public Procurement Act; and
WHEREAS, a need for expansion of the Water Filtration Plant is imminent based on currently
approved development and flow projections within the existing corporate limits of the town; and
WHEREAS, CH2M Hill was selected as the best qualified offer for the proposed project; and
WHEREAS, sufficient funds are included in the adopted FY 2003 Utilities Fund Budget to fund the
initial tasks of the project; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Utilities recommends apProving an Engineering Services Agreement
with CH2M Hill including Tasks #1 and//2 in the amount of $104,200.00 for the "Concept Phase" of the
project.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
The Council of the Town of Leesburg hereby authorizes the Town Manager to execute an
Engineering Services Agreement with CH2M Hill, in a form approved by the Town Attorney, for Tasks #1
and #2 as described in the contract documents, in the amount of $104,200,00, for services related to
expansion of the Water Filtration Plant to an approximate capacity of 15 million gallons per day.
