HILLSBOROUGH REZONING PROCEDURE
Responsibility of Applicant (Owner or Owner's representative)
1. A map showing the usable acreage and square footage, any existing structures,
location of utilities, steep slopes or other significant natural features such
as lakes or streams.
2. Location of property (Tax Map Number, Block and Lot)
3. Why should this property be rezoned?
4. What will be the zoning district requested?
5. Written description of water and sewer availability. Applicant must have a
signed statement from the Hillsborough Superintendent of Water Works.
6. Type of street(s) or road(s).
7. Points of ingress and egress.
8. Supply information on adjacent uses and names of all property owners within 500
feet of the property boundaries.
Note: The applicant shall provide the Planning Board with the answers to the above
questions along with the required maps, plat and deed in addition to required
statements before aforesaid Board will request a Joint Public Hearing frog:
the Hillsborough Town Board of Commissioners in regards to rezoning.
Responsibilities of the Planning Board:
1. View property in question.
2. Request a Joint Public Hearing date from the. Town Board.
3. Attend the Public Hearing.
4. Investigate all information submitted before and after said hearing.
5. Recommendation to Town Board.
