The research would possibly update the map and make sure that all changes adopted were made. Nancy Goodwin will chair the committee; Hilda Brody will assist her; and they would work with the Town Clerk and the Zoning Officer to recommend action on the Zoning Map and identify any irregularities. They may. come up with a list of non -conformities, mainly commercial activities in residential areas. They may also come up with places like the Willie Laws' property which was commercial before the Zoning Map was prepared. The committee would recommend further action. Sheffield suggested hiring a part-time graduate student to work on this research. Cannity suggested that a new zoning map could be adopted as part of the zoning amendments adoption.
