ORDINANCE NO. /S7p, 1 7
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, VACATING AND
DISCONTINUING A PORTION OF THE 500 BLOCK OF WEST SCHROEDER WAY
RIGHT-OF-WAY.
WHEREAS, it has been shown to the Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, that the
owners of land adjacent to and abutting upon the 500 Block of West
Schroeder Way in the City, have petitioned the City Council to vacate a
portion of right-of-way; and
WHEREAS, it has further been shown that it would not inconvenience the public or the
citizens of the City to discontinue a portion of the 500 Block of West
Schroeder Way for public use as described in Section 1 of this Ordinance;
and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
JEFFERSON, MISSOURI, AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Council of the City of Jefferson, Missouri, hereby declares it
necessary, reasonable and proper to discontinue as right-of-way a portion of the 500
Block of West Schroeder Way and forever vacate the following described right-of-way in
said City:
All of that part of a 20.00 foot wide Public Alley that lies between Inlots
664 and 665 and the southeasterly extension thereof, to the Northeast and
Inlots 668 and 669 and the southeasterly extension thereof, to the
Southwest, in the City of Jefferson, Cole County, Missouri, more
particularly described in Exhibit A and depicted in Exhibit B.
Section 2. The statutory right of reversion in the owners of the abutting property
is hereby confirmed, as is provided by the laws of the State of Missouri, and the Mayor
and the Clerk of the City are hereby authorized to execute all necessary instruments
required to confirm the reversionary rights of the owners of property abutting on the
area vacated, as described in Section 1 of this ordinance, in the right of way vacated.
Section 3. This Ordinance shall take effect and be in full force from and after its
passage.

20.00 FOOT WIDE ALLEY (TO BE VACATED)
All that part of a 20.00 foot wide Public Alley that lies between lnlots 664 and 665 and the
southeasterly extension thereof, to the Northeast and /nlots 668 and 669 and the southeasterly
extension thereof, to the Southwest, in the City of Jefferson, Cole County, Missouri, being more
particularly described as follows :
BEGINNING at the most southerly corner of said lnlot 665; thence N47'45'06''W, along the
southwesterly line of said lnlots 665 and 664, being the southwesterly fine of Tract 4, as
described in Book 660, page 577, Cole County Recorder's Office, 158.22 feet to a point on the
southerly right-of-way line of Missouri Business Route 50 (Missouri Bouleva r d), being a point on
the boundary of the property described in Book 670, page 980, Cole County Recorder's Office;
thence southwesterly along the southerly right -of-way line of Missouri Business Route 50, being
the boundary of sa id property described in Book 670, page 980, on a curve to the left having a
radius of 459.91 feet, an arc distance of 21.51 feet (Ch=S6J'50 '46''W, 21.51 fee t) to a point on
the northeasterly line of said lnlot 668, being the northeasterly line of Tract J , as described in
said Book 660, page 577; thence S47'45 '06 "E, along the northeasterly line of said lnlo t s 668
and 669, being the northeasterly line of said Tract J and the southeasterly extension thereof,
188.50 feet to a point on the boundary of said property described in Book 670, page 980;
thence N86 '27'00"E, along the boundary of said property described in Book 670, page 980,
27.90 feet to a point on the southeasterly ex tension of the southwesterly line of said lnlot 665;
thence N47'45'06''W, along the southeasterly extension of the southwesterly line of said lnlot 665,
41 .81 feet to the point of beginning .
