AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO EXECUTE TASK ORDER #23
TO THE CH2M HILL GENERAL SERVICES AGREEMENT, IN THE
AMOUNT OF $409,000.00, FOR DESIGN, AND SERVICES DURING
CONSTRUCTION OF THE UTILITY LINES DIVISION MAINTENANCE
FACILITY
WHEREAS, 17.5 acres of land was purchased from Leegate Corporation for construction of a new
maintenance facility and to provide additional buffer from the Water Pollution Control Facility and adjacent
properties; and
WHEREAS, a need exists for a new utility maintenance facility due to inadequate space at the
existing public works facility to accommodate additional equipment and personnel resulting from sustained
growth in the town; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Utilities recommends approval of Task Order//23 to the CH2M Hill
General Services Agreement, in the amount of $409,000.00, for project design; and
WHEREAS, sufficient funds are included in the adopted FY 2003 for design and staff has included
$2,880,000.00 in the proposed FY 2004 Utilities Fund Budget to fund construction of the project.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
The Town Manager is hereby authorized to execute Task Order #23 to the CH2M Hill General
Services Agreement, in the amount of $409,000.00, for preliminary/final engineering design, and services
during construction of the Utility Lines Division Maintenance Building.
