A RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE CH2M HILL
ENGINEERING SERVICES CONTRACT FOR EXPANSION OF THE
KENNETH B. ROLLINS WATER TREATMENT PLANT IN THE
AMOUNT OF $299,400.00
WHEREAS, by Resolution No. 2002-194 the Leesburg Town Council approved an
engineering services contract with CH2M Hill engineers identifying fourteen tasks, incorporating
study, design and construction services related to expansion of the Kenneth B. Rollins Water
Treatment Plant, to approximately 15 million gallons per day capacity; and
WHEREAS, CH2M Hill has completed the study phase of the contract, Task Nos. 1 and 2, and
requires amendment of the engineering services contract to proceed with Task Nos. 3, 4 and 5 of the
design phase; and
WHEREAS, this amendment is within the Utility Fund project budget and contract limit; and
WHEREAS, The Director of Utilities recommends approval of this contract amendment, in
the amount of $299,400.00.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED bY the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
The Town Manager is hereby authorized to execute Amendment No. 1 to the December 10,
2002 Engineering Services Contract with CH2M Hill, in the amount of $299,400.00, in a form
approved by the Town Attorney.
