RESOLUTION: 2 003- 5 0 ADOPTED March 25, 2003
A RESOLUTION: MAKING AN APPOINTMENT TO THE CABLE TELEVISION ADVISORY
COMMISSION
WHEREAS, participation by public-spirited citizens on town boards and commissions is vital to
the success of town government and the democratic process; and
WHEREAS, boards and commissions serve an indispensable role in providing recommendations
concerning town policy and programs; and
WHEREAS, Council desires to appoint effective individuals to serve at its will and pleasure on
these advisory boards; and
WHEREAS, on July 24, 2000, Council adopted Resolution No. 2000-148 establishing a
procedure concerning appointment of individuals to town boards and commissions; and
WHEREAS, a vacancy exists on the Cable Television Advisory Commission; and
WHEREAS, Councilmember Martinez has interviewed interested parties in serving on the Cable
Television Advisory Commission.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
Lawrence M. Schonberger is appointed to the Cable Television Advisory Commission to fill the
term vacated by James Slagle. The term for this appointment will expire on June 30, 2006.
