AUTHORIZING THE DONATION OF SURPLUS PROPERTY
WHEREAS, each year the Town of Leesburg declares surplus equipment and vehicles for
disposal; and
WHEREAS, the town manager is authorized to advertise and sell surplus equipment and
vehicles with the exception of items to be donated to certain volunteer organizations in accordance
with the procedures implemented by the Finance Department; and
WHEREAS, the Lucketts Volunteer Fire Company, Inc. has requested the donation of a diesel
generator which is intended to be declared surplus property for disposal.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
The town manager is authorized to donate an Onan diesel generator to the Lucketts Volunteer
Fire Company once it has been declared surplus property for disposal.
