RESOLUTION NO. 2003-113 ADOPTED July 8, 2003
A RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING PART B FINAL DESIGN OF THE CONTRACT WITH
MICHAEL BAKER JR., INC. FOR THE TOWN BRANCH IMPROVEMENTS
FROM SOUTH KING STREET TO MONROE STREET IN THE AMOUNT OF
$102,300
WHEREAS, the FY03 Budget provided funds in the amount of $105,000 to perform final design
for the Town Branch Improvements Project from South King Street to Monroe Street; and
WHEREAS, the preliminary design to protect properties from flooding along Town Branch from
South King Street to Monroe Street was approved by Town Council; and
WHEREAS, Resolution 99-354 awarded the contract for engineering and design for the Three
Channel Improvements to Michael Baker Jr. Inc.; and
WHEREAS, staff negotiated a fee with Michael Baker Jr. Inc. in the amount of $102,300 to
provide Part B final design; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Engineering and Public Works and the Capital Project
Administrator recommend approval of the Part B Final Design for this Capital Project.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the ToWn of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
The Town Manager is authorized to execute the documents with Michael Baker Jr., Inc. in the
amount of $102,300 for Part B final design of the Town Branch Improvements from South King Street
to Monroe Street.
