Loudoun Credit Union Relocates Main Office to 801 Sycolin
Road SE in Leesburg
Leesburg, VA (June 7, 2012) – Loudoun Credit Union (LCU) has relocated their main office to
801 Sycolin Road SE, Suite 101, in Leesburg. This new location has additional office and staff
work space, an enhanced new member services area, free Wi-Fi in the lobby and a soon-to-be-
installed walk-up ATM capable of accepting deposits.
In 2012, LCU will celebrate its 35th anniversary as a federally insured, state chartered credit
union. Since its founding in 1977, LCU has grown to be a full-service financial institution with
$28 million in assets. At the recent LCU annual meeting of members, LCU Board Chairman
Cindy Mester highlighted the company’s expanding partnerships with Loudoun County,
Loudoun County Public Schools, the Town of Leesburg and Inova Hospital.
“The Loudoun Credit Union is a longstanding financial institution in Leesburg, whose growth
and expansion are extremely important to their members and the community at large,”
commented Marantha Edwards, Leesburg’s Economic Development Manager. “We are
delighted at their commitment to Leesburg as the location of their main offices.”
In addition to the new ATM at the main office, LCU will install ATMs at the Leesburg Executive
Airport and the Loudoun County Administration Building in downtown Leesburg. These ATMs
will connect LCU to the CO-OP network, providing members with over 28,000 surcharge-free
ATMs across the country. Mester also noted that LCU awarded scholarships to three college-
bound Loudoun County seniors, implemented a college loan program with Sallie Mae and has
over 700 elementary students participating in LCU’s student savers program.
“Providing a wide range of opportunities to educate students on the fundamentals of money
management is an important goal for the credit union.” said Mester.
