A RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING THE TOWN MANAGER TO SIGN CONTRACT
ADDENDUM NUMBER SIX (6) IN THE AMOUNT OF $248,000 WITH
CAMPBELL & PARIS ENGINEERS FOR PROFESSIONAL SERVICES
FOR THE MASTER PLAN UPDATE, AND THE COUNCIL HEREBY
AMENDING AND APPROPRIATING FUNDS TO THE FISCAL YEAR
2004 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS BUDGET FOR THIS PROJECT
FROM THE PREVIOUS AMOUNT OF $150,000 TO THE NEW
AMOUNT OF $255,000.
WHEREAS, a contract was awarded to Campbell & Paris Engineers for engineering,
architectural, and construction management services on March 18, 2002; and
WHEREAS, the most recent Master Plan for the airport was completed in 1990 and is
now antiquated; and
WHEREAS, airport user demands and operational safety concerns require a thorough
analysis of the Airport and planning for future development; and
WHEREAS, the amount of Contract Addendum Number Six (6) is $248,000; and
WHEREAS, funding in the amount of $150,000 was appropriated in the Fiscal Year 2004
Capital Improvement Program Budget for the Master Plan Update; and
WHEREAS, additional funds are needed to complete the master plan; and
WHEREAS, the Master Plan Update is ninety-eight percent (98%) funded by
Federal and State grants, and the town's two percent (2%) share is $5,100; and
WHEREAS, the airport director and the airport commission recommend adoption of
this resolution.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as
follows:

FROM THE PREVIOUS AMOUNT OF $150,000 TO THE NEW
AMOUNT OF $255,000.
SECTION I. The town manager is hereby authorized to execute Contract Addendum
Number Six (6), in a form acceptable to the town attorney, in the amount of $248,000
with Campbell & Pads Engineers for professional services for the Master Plan Update.
SECTION II. The Fiscal Year 2004 Capital Improvements Budget is hereby
amended and funds are appropriated in the amount of $255,000.
