RESOLUTION NO. 2 0 0 3-1 5 9 ADOPTED November 25, 2003
A RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING THE LEASE AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN AV-ED
FLIGHT SCHOOL, INC. AND THE TOWN OF LEESBURG FOR THE
LEESBURG EXECUTIVE AIRPORT
WHEREAS, AwEd Flight School, Inc. has been located and operating at the Leesburg
Executive Airport for approximately 10 years; and
WHEREAS, the flight school has been on a month-to-month lease arrangement since having
been displaced to a temporary office space due to the terminal construction; and
WHEREAS, the flight school desires to continue operation at the airport; and
WHEREAS, a lease agreement satisfactory to both parties has been negotiated for temporary
office space; and
WHEREAS, the term of the lease is for 1 year, or until space in the new terminal building is
available; and
WHEREAS, the annual rent is $19,005.12; and
WHEREAS, the interim airport director and the airport commission recommend adoption of this
resolution.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED that the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia hereby
authorizes the Town Manager to execute the lease agreement by and between Ay-Ed Flight School, Inc.
and the Town of Leesburg for the Leesburg Executive Airport in a form acceptable to the Town
Attorney.
