RESOLUTION NO. 2 0 0 3- 1 6 0 ADOPTED November 25, 2003
A RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING THE LEASE AGREEMENT BY AND BETWEEN
AVIATION ADVENTURES, LLC AND THE TOWN OF LEESBURG FOR
THE LEESBURG EXECUTIVE AIRPORT
WHEREAS, Aviation Adventures, LLC has made application to the airport commission in order
to locate and operate a flight school and aircraft rental business at the Leesburg Executive Airport; and
WHEREAS, the airport commission and town staffhave determined that the flight school meets
the minimum standards for operating such business at the airport; and
WHEREAS, the flight school desires a formal relationship with the town; and
WHEREAS, a lease agreement satisfactory to both parties has been negotiated for temporary
office space; and
WHEREAS, the term of the lease is for 1 year, or until space in the new terminal building
is available; and
WHEREAS, the annual rent is $11,327.04; and
WHEREAS, the interim airport director and the airport commission recommend adoption of this
resolution.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED that the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia hereby
authorizes the Town Manager to execute the lease agreement by and between Aviation Adventures, LLC
and the Town of Leesburg for the Leesburg Executive Airport in a form acceptable to the Town Attorney.
