DENYING THE LOUDOUN UNITED WAY REQUEST FOR FOUR
PARKING PASSES TO THE TOWN OF LEESBURG PARKING
GARAGE
WHEREAS, the Town Council desires to work cooperatively and harmoniously with all
non-profit organizations within the town; and
WHEREAS, granting the request for four parking passes to the town parking garage
submitted by the Loudoun United Way would result in preferential treatment for that
organization over the other non-profit organizations within the town currently paying for their
parking passes; and
WHEREAS, the Council's policy is to support all nonprofit organizations within the town
equally and without preference.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that:
the request for four parking passes to the town parking garage submitted by the Loudoun United
Way should be denied, in order to continue the Council policy of supporting all non-profit
organizations within the town equally and without preference.
PASSED this 25th day of November 2003.
