Un~a~ Mayor Town of Leesburg R03:Mead~AllWayStop WHEREAS, at the November 17, 2003 Town Council Work Session the Town Council requested the installation of all-way stop signs at various intersections on Meade Drive in the Greenway Farms Subdivision as requested by the residents; and WHEREAS, the intersections on Meade Drive in the Greenway Farms Subdivision do not meet the warrants for all-way stop conditions in the Mamml on Uniform Traffic Control Devices (MUTCD); and WHEREAS, the Director of Engineering and Public Works recommends that if all-way stop signs are installed on Meade Drive the criteria in the Residential Traffic Management Plan be followed; and WHEREAS, the criteria in the Residential Traffic Management Plan recommend that spacing of multi- way stops should not be more frequent than at intersections of 800 to 1,000 feet apart; and WHEREAS, all-way stop signs at the intersections of Meade Drive at Lawnhill Court and Fairfield Way do not meet the 800 to 1,000 feet criteria. THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the Town Manager is directed to have all-way stop signs installed on Meade Drive at Lawnhill Court and Fairfield Way.
