AUTHORIZING A DISCOUNT OFF ADMISSION TO IDA LEE PARK
RECREATION CENTER FOR ACTIVE MEMBERS OF THE LEESBURG
VOLUNTEER FIRE DEPARTMENT, LEESBURG VOLUNTEER RESCUE
SQUAD, AND LEESBURG POLICE CITIZENS SUPPORT TEAM AND
FREE ADMISSION TO MEMBERS ONLY, WHILE ON DUTY
WHEREAS, volunteers of the Leesburg Fire and Rescue Squad Units have requested a
discount off admission to Ida Lee Park Recreation Center; and
WHEREAS, the Chief of Police for the Town of Leesburg has also requested a discount off
admission to Ida Lee Park Recreation Center for members of the Leesburg Police Citizens Support
Team; and
WHEREAS, the respective discount applies only to the volunteer, and not to the
volunteer's family, and does not apply to volunteers outside the Leesburg Fire and Rescue Units
and the Leesburg Police Citizens Support Team; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Parks and Recreation recommends a 20% discount off the
admission to Ida Lee Park Recreation Center for the respective volunteer while also continuing the
practice of complimentary use while on active-duty; and
WHEREAS, the Leesburg Parks and Recreation Advisory Commission unanimously
endorsed the recommendation of the Parks and Recreation Director.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
following discounted policy for use of Ida Lee Park Recreation Center applies to members of the

CITIZENS SUPPORT TEAM, AND FREE ADMISSION, TO MEMBERS
ONLY, WHILE ON DUTY
Leesburg Volunteer Fire Department, Leesburg Volunteer Rescue Squad, and the Leesburg Police
Citizens Support Team:
SECTION I. Complimentary use of the facility while actually on-duty, with exception of
court fees for racquetball use and fee-based classes.
SECTION II. A 20% discount off admission to the facility, when not on duty.
SECTION III. Discount and complimentary use of the facility applies to the individual
member only and does not apply to his/her family members.
SECTION IV. Volunteers must be recognized as an active member with their respective
organization at the time of purchase.
SECTION V. Discount and complimentary use of the facility does not apply to volunteer
units outside of Leesburg.
