AUTHORIZING AN AMENDMENT TO THE CH2M HILL ENGINEERING
SERVICES CONTRACT #3130-FY03-01 (AMENDMENT NO. 3) FOR
EXPANSION OF THE KENNETH B. ROLLINS WATER TREATMENT
PLANT IN THE AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $739,100.00
WHEREAS, by Resolution No 2002-194 the Leesburg Town Council approved an engineering
services contract with CH2M Hill engineers identifying fourteen tasks, incorporating preliminary design,
final design, and construction services related to expansion of the Kenneth B. Rollins Water Treatment
Plant, to approximately 13 million gallons per day capacity; and
WHEREAS, CH2M Hill has completed the preliminary study phase of the contract, Task Nos. 1-
5 of Phase I, and are prepared to proceed with Task Nos. 6-8 of Phase II, final design services; and
WHEREAS, this amendment is within the Utility Fund project budget and contract limit; and
WHEREAS, the Deputy Director of Utilities recommends approval of this hourly rate contract
amendment in the amount not to exceed $739,100.00.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
The Town Manager is hereby authorized to execute Amendment No. 3 to the December
10, 2002 Engineering Services Contract #3130-FY03-01 with CH2M Hill, in the amount not to exceed
$739,100.00 in a form approved by the Town Attorney.
