APPROVING A GIFT TO UNION CEMETERY, INC. TO DEFRAY PLAN
REVIEW FEES
WHEREAS, the plan review fees for the storm drainage system to be installed at the Union
Cemetery total $5,853.75; and
WHEREAS, the Union Cemetery, Inc. (the "Cemetery"), is a nonprofit corporation; and
WHEREAS, the Cemetery has agreed to bury for no charge a deceased individual with no
income or family and very limited assets; and
WHEREAS, Council desires to donate funds to the Cemetery to defray the plan review fees.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
SECTION I. Staff is directed to donate $5,853.75 to the Cemetery to defray the plan review
fees for the Cemetery's proposed storm drainage system.
SECTION II. The funds for the donation are hereby appropriated from the undesignated
General Fund balance to the Town Council's contractual services account.
