MISCELLANEOUS ITEMS AS SURPLUS PROPERTY

WHEREAS, town departments have identified certain vehicles, equipment and other
miscellaneous items as surplus property to be disposed of; and
WHEREAS, town surplus property must be disposed of in accordance with Administrative
Regulation Section 3, No. 2; and
WHEREAS, the Director of Finance recommends that these items be declared surplus.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
SECTION I. The Town Council declares the equipment, vehicles and other miscellaneous
items identified on the attached "SURPLUS 2004" list as surplus property.
SECTION Il. The town manager is authorized and directed to advertise and sell this surplus
property at public auction in accordance with Administrative Regulation Section 3, No. 2.
SECTION 1II. The auction, conducted by town staff, will be held on May 15, 2004, at 10:00
a.m. at the Town Shop located at 1393 East Market Street.
