A RESOLUTION: AUTHORIZING LEASE SUPPLEMENT #6, FAA AUTOMATED
FLIGHT SERVICE STATION, LEESBURG EXECUTIVE AIRPORT
WHEREAS, there is a lease By and Between the United States, for the FAA / Automated Flight
Service Station (AFSS) and the Town of Leesburg, for the Leesburg Executive Airport; and
WHEREAS, the town owns and maintains the leased building, and
WHEREAS, the town has agreed to design and install a new HVAC system for the leased
building; and
WHEREAS, the FAA has agreed to advance $250,000 for the project; and
WHEREAS, a lease bare rental rate reduction of $1.21 per square foot per year has been
negotiated for the advance funds; and
WHEREAS, lease Supplement #6 details the agreement between the parties; and
WHEREAS, the interim airport director recommends approval.
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia that the
Council hereby accepts and authorizes the Town Manager to execute lease Supplement #6 By and
Between the United States of America and the Town of Leesburg for the Leesburg Executive Airport
in a form acceptable to the Town Attorney.
