HomeMy Public PortalAbout2017-04-06 Public NoticePUBLIC NOTICE The City of Jefferson Tax Increment Financing ("TIF") Commission will consider the approval of the proposed St. Mary’s Hospital Tax Increment Financing Plan (“Plan”) and related Redevelopment Project (collectively the “Plan and Project”) to finance certain costs associated with the redevelopment of property located in Jefferson City, Missouri, in accordance with the Real Property Tax Increment Allocation Redevelopment Act, Sections 99.800 through 99.865 RSMo, as amended. Pursuant to law, the public is hereby notified that: A. A public hearing to consider the Plan and Project will be held before the Jefferson City TIF Commission on April 6, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall, 320 E. McCarty Street, Jefferson City, Missouri, 65101. B. The Plan Area is generally located at the southwest corner of 50 Highway and Bolivar Street, Jefferson City, Missouri, as generally depicted on the accompanying map. C. The Plan, if approved, would reduce or eliminate the blight in the Plan Area through the redevelopment of approximately 9.8 acres of real property generally known as the former St. Mary’s Hospital complex, including the rehabilitation and renovation of the original St. Mary’s Hospital and the redevelopment of associated buildings and infrastructure, all of which has become blighted and has suffered significant economic decline due to obsolescence. D. All interested persons shall be given an opportunity to be heard at the public hearing identified in paragraph A above. E. A copy of the Plan with a more detailed description of the Plan Area is available for inspection in the City Clerk's office at City Hall, 320 E. McCarty Street, Jefferson City, Missouri, 65101, beginning February 15, 2017. It may be inspected between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, exclusive of holidays.
