AUTHORIZING TIME EXTENSIONS FOR COMPLETION OF PUBLIC
IMPROVEMENTS AND APPROVING PERFORMANCE GUARANTEES
FOR POTOMAC STATION SECTIONS 8D, 8E, AND 8F
WHEREAS, Washington Homes, Inc., the developer of Potomac Station Sections 8D, 8E, and
8F has not completed all the required public improvements in accordance with the approved
construction drawings and town standards within the two-year period agreed to in the contract for
public improvements and previously approved time extensions; and
WHEREAS, the developer has requested a time extension to complete the public
improvements; and
WHEREAS, corporate surety bonds from The Hanover Insurance Company in the amount of
$66,221.00 for Section 8D; in the amount of $63,673.00 for Section 8E; and in the amount of
$181,708.00 for Section 8F were provided by the developer to guarantee the installation of public
improvements; and
WHEREAS, the town's Director of Engineehng and Public Works recommends time
extensions to April 27, 2005; and
THEREFORE, RESOLVED by the Council of the Town of Leesburg in Virginia as follows:
SECTION I. The corporate surety bonds from The Hanover Insurance Company in the
amount of $66,221.00 for Section 8D; in the amount of $63,673.00 for Section 8E; and in the amount
of $181,708.00 for Section 8F are approved to guarantee the installation of public improvements in
Potomac Station Sections 8D, 8E, and 8F.
